Volunteer with Animal Aide and help us save even more lives!
Every year Animal Aide saves hundreds of cats and dogs, adopting them into loving new homes. You can be part of our life-saving team and have fun too! It’s easy to get involved!
Here are some ways you can help the animal centre:
Entry level placements:
- Feeding cats;
- Cleaning cages and floors, etc.;
- Petting or grooming cats and kittens.
Advanced placements:
Office and administrative positions, ideal for those with office experience or physical limitations.
- Answering phone and dealing with the public;
- Adopting out cats and kittens;
- Data entry;
- Following up adoptions;
- Supervising other volunteers;
- Fundraising or marketing/communications.
Expert placements:
Ideal for those with extensive experience working with cats.
- Socializing feral or frightened cats;
- Medicating cats and kittens;
- Hand-feeding orphaned kittens;
- Transporting cats to and from St. Thomas pound, animal hospitals or our satellite adoption centre at Pet Smart (Wellington or Fanshawe Park Roads, London)
- Working with pound staff and veterinary staff.
- Foster cats and/or kittens, including mothers and babies. What could be more satisfying than helping a mother cat raise her tiny, beautiful babies? Please fill out a Foster Agreement and send it in.
