We have found a good home!

Auntie Jane is always checking my spelling mistakes. Especially when I push the C, X, Z keys on her lap-top.

We have voted and have now decided that SHE can stay in our new home. We have settled down and only wrestle for fun.

BUT the water spray bottle has now been introduced. Gin is the trouble maker. I just raise my paw and say ‘It wasn’t me!’ and then he get’s sprayed with the water!

Of course, if Gin didn’t go into a lower cupboard and rip open a bag of fish-food pellets; come prancing down the stairs with Auntie Jane’s tooth-brush; and then a day later try to drag a left-over T-bone from the garbage and hide it underneath a table (Okay; I’ll confess that I was part of that exploit) -everything is fine!

We’ve enclosed a photo of us looking extremely happy!

Paw-prints,

Tonic.

P.S. Gin says ‘Meow’

Poor Polaris has now had two homes and lost both, through no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his owners’ circumstances changed and they were not able to keep him or his brother, Atticus. We met these boys on March 13, 2010, and they are both very upset, but under normal circumstances, Polaris is a very friendly boy who wants lots of attention and the most comfortable place to sleep, in his opinion, is on the chest of his human mother. Polaris is a 6 year old declawed, large orange and white tabby. He is upset about losing his home right now and needs to find a home quickly where he will be loved for the rest of his life. Polaris and Atticus don’t get along that well and we have been told that they would likely do better in separate homes. If you can give this sweet boy a home, you will have a friend for life. Please come to Animal Aide to meet Polaris This is one of those rare times when we know an exact birth date for a newly acquired adult cat – Polaris and his brother were born on July 15, 2004. Please come meet Polaris and give him the final home he deserves. You can meet Polaris at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot Street, by calling us at 519-633-3788 or send us an email.

The third time’s the charm for Polaris!

Atticus Finch was the name of the lead character in ‘To Kill A Mocking Bird”. Atticus is also a fabulous name for a cat and our Atticus would prefer to keep it. Atticus has lost two homes in his 6 years and I think we can, at least, let him keep his name. He, and his brother Polaris, were born July 15, 2004. Their first home was lost because their family preferred their new dog and since the cats didn’t appreciate the existence of the dog in their home, the cats were given away. Their second home was lost due to a very difficult family situation. Animal Aide was asked to accept them into the shelter and on March 13, 2010, Atticus and Polaris were tearfully surrendered to us. Both boys are orange and white tabbys and are front declawed. They are both understandably upset at the moment. Hopefully, they will settle in and show everyone how fabulous we were told that they are. Atticus likes to cuddle and is very affectionate but he prefers to keep a certain distance between his face and yours. While they are brothers, we were told that they don’t get along terribly well with each other so they do not need to be adopted together. Their last Mom suggested that they might be better off if there were no children or dogs in the home as they have no experience with the former and unpleasant experiences with the latter. Atticus can be seen at 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or e-mail us.

This beautiful little tabby arrived at Animal Aide on March 9, 2010, at the age of 1 year. She is a real sweetheart who likes to be held. Her brown tabby fur does not look as soft as it could be but I’m sure that now she is on a better diet, it will improve. She has adorable green eyes and the desire to have a home of her own. She is still young and wants to play. Whitney is very petite right now and fits in your arms for a cuddle very easily. Please come visit Whitney at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot Street, give us a call at 519-633-3788 or send us an email.

If you have every wanted a cat that just loved to cuddle and could purr forever, you are reading about the right boy. Petite, 6 month old, mostly black Hoagie first arrived at Animal Aide on March 11, 2010. He acted shy and will sometimes hide in the back corner of his cage. However, if you open the cage and pick him up, he just melts into you; your arms, your neck or whatever else you have to offer him. Hoagie appears to be a black cat when you look at him, but he has one cute white toe amongst all the black and a nearly completely white tummy. I just love white tummies on cats that appear to be a completely different colour everywhere else. I find it adorable! Please come meet this little guy at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot Street, give us a call at 519-633-3788 or send us an email.
