Atticus Finch was the name of the lead character in ‘To Kill A Mocking Bird”. Atticus is also a fabulous name for a cat and our Atticus would prefer to keep it. Atticus has lost two homes in his 6 years and I think we can, at least, let him keep his name. He, and his brother Polaris, were born July 15, 2004. Their first home was lost because their family preferred their new dog and since the cats didn’t appreciate the existence of the dog in their home, the cats were given away. Their second home was lost due to a very difficult family situation. Animal Aide was asked to accept them into the shelter and on March 13, 2010, Atticus and Polaris were tearfully surrendered to us. Both boys are orange and white tabbys and are front declawed. They are both understandably upset at the moment. Hopefully, they will settle in and show everyone how fabulous we were told that they are. Atticus likes to cuddle and is very affectionate but he prefers to keep a certain distance between his face and yours. While they are brothers, we were told that they don’t get along terribly well with each other so they do not need to be adopted together. Their last Mom suggested that they might be better off if there were no children or dogs in the home as they have no experience with the former and unpleasant experiences with the latter. Atticus can be seen at 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or e-mail us.
A LITERARY CAT FOR SURE
She likes being with us and she is loads of fun! She likes to play lot. When we come home from work or when I come home at lunch she is there to meet you at the door. She likes to have a rub-down when we come home. She loves to sit on your lap. We love her; she is a very nice cat and she is very happy living with us. I hope you enjoy the pictures of Blossom.
Have a good day!

Dear Donna,
We have found a good home!
Auntie Jane is always checking my spelling mistakes. Especially when I push the C, X, Z keys on her lap-top.
We have voted and have now decided that SHE can stay in our new home. We have settled down and only wrestle for fun.
BUT the water spray bottle has now been introduced. Gin is the trouble maker. I just raise my paw and say ‘It wasn’t me!’ and then he get’s sprayed with the water!
Of course, if Gin didn’t go into a lower cupboard and rip open a bag of fish-food pellets; come prancing down the stairs with Auntie Jane’s tooth-brush; and then a day later try to drag a left-over T-bone from the garbage and hide it underneath a table (Okay; I’ll confess that I was part of that exploit) -everything is fine!
We’ve enclosed a photo of us looking extremely happy!
Paw-prints,
Tonic.
P.S. Gin says ‘Meow’
