What comes to mind when you hear the name, Gidget? Well, if you remember the 1960’s, you might remember a little girl with big ideas about everything. Well, when we met this little Gidget on February 15, 2010, at the tender age of 1 year, we were immediately reminded of that old TV show. Our Gidget is very friendly and loves people; she also has the big idea that since she is so fabulous, there doesn’t need to be other cats anywhere near her. That’s her big idea, but unfortunately, she has now found herself surrounded by other cats and she isn’t terribly happy about it. The good news is that since she is petite and friendly and a gorgeous young tabby, she will likely get adopted. The bad news is that since she is so sure she doesn’t like the other cats, she may not show well and it may ruin her chances of finding a loving home. Please don’t let her stay unhappy in her current situation – give her the loving home she deserves where she will be the only pampered pet in your life. You can meet Gidget by calling us at 519-633-3788, sending us an email or by visiting us at 333 Talbot Street, St. Thomas.
Beautiful, loving, friendly and petite what more could you want?
Hello, my name is Henry. I am currently being allowed to live at Tabby’s Treasures instead of in a cage at Animal Aide. I am still looking for my forever home, but until some nice people decide that I am the one for them, I will stay in the shop where I can meet lots of people. You will recognize me right away when you come in to Tabby’s Treasures. I am the dark coloured Tabby who greets you at the door. I am sporting a lovely red collar. Sometimes, I like to lie in the window to talk to people passing by.
I love to be picked up and patted. As a matter of fact, I like it when people pick me up under their arm like a football and carry me around the shop. If you sit down, I will be right there to snuggle in your lap. I have my favorite chair, but laps are much more comfy. A dog came in to Tabby’s Treasures the other day and I initially ran for cover. However, after the dog got fitted for a coat, I came out to see how good she looked in it. Tabby and I gave our approval on her choice of coats. I’m sure we could have been friends with that Jack Russell if she had stayed in the shop longer. I love my roommate, Tabby, but I would love a family to live with. The next time you are in to Animal Aide looking for a new family member; please ask if you can visit with me next door. 333 Talbot Street, 519-633-3788, or send us an email.
You won’t be sorry. I will love you forever.
Meet Jasmine, one of our newest volunteers. Ok, she didn’t really volunteer and we didn’t really ask her…we did the terrible thing of just assuming that she would cheerfully take on the assignment. She tried…..she really tried. Jasmine was rescued July 27, 2009 and sent to a foster home where she did a beautiful job of raising her 6 kittens (all adopted). When we were confronted with 3 motherless kittens, we thought that maybe Jasmine would be able to care for them. Her kittens were old enough to leave so we introduced the orphans to Jasmine. Everyone got along well but Jasmine was unable to produce enough milk. She tried….she really tried!!!! Jasmine is approximately 2 years old and would love to be considered for the position of family pet. She is ready for interviews so I would suggest that you beat the crowd and be first in line. 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or e-mail us.
SHE’S A STAR!!
