Cassie came to us Aug.6, 2008. She was a sweet but very shy girl. She was placed in a cage near the laundry room door and I grew to be very fond of her. Eventually she was moved to a brighter, better location. Cassie has really come out of her shell since then. She really enjoys being brushed and she will purr for as long as we brush her. She is also one of the smartest cats I have met. She watched and learned how to open, not one but two different styles of cages. There were many mornings when she was at the door to greet the first arriving volunteer with a smug look on her face when she was supposed to be in her cage. She is now up near the front door. So far, she hasn’t figured out how to open this style of cage. Give her time. This in one girl who is more than ready to open YOUR heart. How about giving her that chance? SHE’S A WINNER!!!
