Cassie came to us Aug.6, 2008. She was a sweet but very shy girl. She was placed in a cage near the laundry room door and I grew to be very fond of her. Eventually she was moved to a brighter, better location. Cassie has really come out of her shell since then. She really enjoys being brushed and she will purr for as long as we brush her. She is also one of the smartest cats I have met. She watched and learned how to open, not one but two different styles of cages. There were many mornings when she was at the door to greet the first arriving volunteer with a smug look on her face when she was supposed to be in her cage. She is now up near the front door. So far, she hasn’t figured out how to open this style of cage. Give her time. This in one girl who is more than ready to open YOUR heart. How about giving her that chance? Visit Cassie at 333 Talbot St. St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or e-mail us.

Charity 11-14-09 2Charity came to us July 13, 2006. Yes, she has been with us for a very long time. Charity really enjoys getting out of her cage for a jog around the centre. However, she has been here so long that she goes right back to her cage. That is her home. We would really like to get Charity into a real home even if it is a temporary home (ie: Pet Guardian). You might ask yourself…what’s wrong with her. Well, she is not overly fond of other cats, but lately she has  managed to behave herself quite well. Actually, just the other day, Charity shocked 2 of our volunteers by demanding attention ON THEIR LAPS. I don’t know which volunteer was more shocked, in a good way, of course. She is also somewhat feisty. That’s not a bad thing, she just has very definite opinions and over the years, that too has mellowed. Charity was between 1 and 2 years of age when she came so she has now spent half of her life in a cage. I think that she deserves a chance. What do you think? 333 Talbot St. St. Thomas, 519-633-3788 or e-mail us.

Doolittle 11-21-09 34 year old Doolittle arrived at Animal Aide on March 24, 2009, with very little fan fare. This tabby and white male was already neutered upon his arrival and has the cutest meow I have ever heard. Doolittle is friendly and enjoys being petted. He is happiest having his free time out of his cage, where he races around in his version of Hide and Seek. Doolittle has a good balance of being quiet so you can’t find him, but can also be chatty when he is looking for attention. Doolittle is a very striking boy with just a small brown spot on the tip of his nose, which is mostly pink. Doolittle has eyes that watch everything and he has a very expressive face. I believe Doolittle would be best in a home without kids and without other pets. If you would like to meet Doolittle, please come visit him at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, give us a call at 519-633-3788 or send us an email Flow: For Love of Water trailer .

Can you live without Doolittle?
