Lunar

Lunar June 08Lunar started his life with us as a foster kitten who Yuki - 12-27-09was only supposed to stay with us for 1 week. He and his 4 siblings (Linus, Logan, Lorna and Levi) were due to go to PetSmart and it was the plan to keep them healthy until they could go. Unfortunately, they all came down with Coccidia (a common internal parasite) and so they stayed with us. When the big day came for them to go to a PetSmart Adopt-a-thon, Lunar started to sneeze so, he stayed home while the others went to the Adopt-a-thon. One was adopted and the others came home. They stayed with us for the summer and most of the fall as the shelter was experiencing an upper respiratory outbreak. Each time we planned to take them to an Adopt-a-thon, Lunar started to sneeze so, he stayed home. Six months later, we knew what he already apparently knew. Lunar wasn’t going anywhere. He no longer goes by the name Lunar. He is now Yuki, or Little White Guy. Yuki has grown into a real trouble magnet. If something has happened, we can usually find him either slinking away or sitting proudly in the mess. He has retained his beautiful blue eyes but his coat has changed from pure white to a creamy orange. He definitely has Siamese in his lineage as evidenced by his body shape and eye colour. Yuki is intensely curious and nosey and likes to crawl into the smallest, most inconvenient Ellen and Melissa's cats 12-27-09places. He gets along with all our other cats and it would be hard to imagine life without him.
