When Sunshine first arrived, she looked like she had been through the wars.  What a life she must have led for the past 2 years!! She is now physically healed, but we don’t know about her emotional scars. She arrived at our shelter June 16, 2009, with evidence that she had had kittens but there were no kittens with her. She was also complaining of a sore back. Maybe she had been grazed by a car or maybe she was a target of mean kids who throw rocks at black cats for “fun”. We will never know. What we do know is that Sunshine’s life can only get better from now on. Even though she has been through a lot, Sunshine is an amazingly friendly girl. She is a bit wary but that is certainly understandable. All she needs is a chance. Sunshine does like to give kisses to any hand that reaches towards her slowly, but will still swat if you move too quickly. All any of our cats need is a chance.
