Hi Cheryl,
I’m happy to report that Romp is doing well. He took a bit of attention at the beginning and I was a bit worried for the first three days b/c he wasn’t eating or drinking much. I actually had to hand feed him for a bit, but he’s doing great now; eating on his own out of his own bowl in the kitchen. I’ve renamed him to Romeo (b/c he was my Valentine) and he’s getting along very well with my other kitty, Cinderella. Cinder is a momma’s girl, so it’s helped Romeo to see how comfortable she is with me. And he is SO PLAYFUL…oh my goodness. He helps himself to Cinder’s toy basket and I find toys all over the place. He’s always chasing Cinder around the house and giving her some great exercise. I’ve attached a couple of recent pics for you to take a look at. Please don’t mind Cinder…she’s never been good with the flash of a camera (lol).

We adopted Anjel–now Mia–a couple of days after Christmas, 2008. She immediately greeted her new home with great curiosity, and her new family with cuddles and kisses. She was very excited to meet her new brother, Mikhail, but he was a little less than enthusiastic about a newcomer treading on his territory. They’re still not quite the best of friends and get into fights now and then, but when we hear them chasing each other all around the house, we know they’re having fun. Mia has seemingly limitless energy and is constantly running around, playing with toys, or demanding our attention. It’s strange to see her asleep! No matter what she’s doing, as soon as I leave the room she’s right at my heels to follow wherever I go; and all you have to do is look in her direction, and she starts purring madly. Mia is one of the most loving cats I’ve ever known and we’re so happy to have her as a part of our family!
Hello to all my friends at Animal Aide. I have adapted very well with my new family. It was rough for the first two days getting used to Chase (now my best friend), the family dog. I am loved soo much & spoiled too. I deserve it though! I was a Christmas present for my mom and she repeatingly tells me that I am the BEST present ever. I bring her soo much happiness and joy. I get kisses all the time from her & my family. I am curious about the outside. My dad purchased me a harness, not sure yet if I like it. I love sleeping on my mom’s pillow, to get the warm spot I sit on my mom’s head to get her to move. She calls me silly and chuckles. I also enjoy laying on Cole’s bed, so I can watch the hamsters run around in the cage. Haven’t figured out yet how to get to them. My favourite time of the day is at night when my family watches television. I stretch out in front of the fireplace & enjoy the warmth from it. I have to admit, I am soo happy & I have a loving family that take good care of me & are very protective. Thank-you for all your care when I was with you. I will stay in touch, so you can watch me grow!
