This adorable little girl chose to celebrate her 5th birthday by having her mother bring her to Animal Aide to donate $20.00 to help our animals. It takes such a huge in such a little girl to think of others before herself, especially on her birthday. Animal Aide owes Ella a debt of gratitude for her thoughtfulness and the animals in our care, and all of our volunteers want to thank Ella very much for her donation! We can’t do it without people like YOU!
We have changed his name to Zeus now, and he seems to know it when he is being called. Zeus has been quite the adventure for us, since he is my family’s first pet, and has taken some getting used to for all of us. He keeps us on our toes and he makes my family a little bit more complete with the 3 of us. He’s grown quite a bit over the last few weeks that its hard to believe that he’s still a kitten. Well here are a few pictures for you all to see how much he’s grown!

Animal Aide had a dilemma on July 28th. Our 6 year old wash machine finally gave up the ghost! It had been limping for some time. That machine had been running every day..all day for the entire 6 years. Well, one of our volunteers that happens to come in on Mondays and Fridays, was there when it broke down. He immediately offered a second hand washer that was at a family members. After finishing his room he headed off to make sure the machine was still indeed working as it had sat for 2 years in a basement. Well unfortunately it did not work. But that did not hold Gerald back! He said he would look around for us to see what was out there and at what prices we could get a new one for. He went to London to looked around. Well…once again he appeared at the centre in the afternoon with a receipt for a new washer which Gerald and his wife Lynn and two children Chris and Kristen donated!! Again, just when we feel we are down and out special people are sent our way to lift us back up with their generosity and true spirit of giving to a worthy cause. Gerald and his family knows how much Animal Aide for those who cannot help themselves and wanted to help in a way they could. Thank you all and God bless you for your kindness.
