We would like you to meet Smokey. Smokey came to us on March 29, 2008, under very unusual circumstances. Smokey had spent his entire 11 years in a very loving home with a widow who adored him. In all that time, Smokey was an only pet and didn’t have much, if any, contact with children. He is neutered and declawed and truly loved his owner. Unfortunately for Smokey, she recently passed away and Smokey has been quite traumatized by her passing and by him losing the only home he has ever known. Smokey desperately needs a new home where he will not have to deal with other pets or young children. He needs someone who will give him the time to get used to his new surroundings and give him the chance to bond to someone new. Smokey would do best in a quiet home and would likely make a great companion, as he was to his previous owner.
