eliza-3.JPGEliza (Liza) came to our family on February 16, 2008.  When we took her out of her cage, she cuddled right up to me and we knew right then that she would be coming home with us.  Liza was a little nervous of the common noises a house makes, but didn’t take long to get comfortable and make it her home.  Her picture doesn’t begin to show how beautiful her coat is; we were very surprised at her colours when we got her home.  She loves her cat toys and loves to cuddle with us as often as possible.  She will talk when she wants attention, but usually she doesn’t have to ask for it. We are so happy that Liza decided to wait for us to come to Animal Aide as she has been such a wonderful addition to our family.  She is truly a sweet pet and I would like to thank Animal Aide for taking such good care of her until we found each other. This picture was taken just after Eliza arrived at Animal Aide.

River 11-7-09 3There are many songs written about bodies of water and even more bodies of water that have names. With that in mind, we are happy to introduce our latest cat who has joined the ranks of water names. This handsome all black cat is River. River is a good name for this sweet 8 month old, who is just beginning to understand the ways of our world. He arrived on March 6, 2008. A true river flows nicely along its path and is inviting and strong. It does take time to become a real river, but we know that one look at this little guy and your heart will melt. River likes to be petted, but is a little nervous about being picked up just yet. Our dedicated volunteers are going to help River every step of the way until his confidence shines through. It won’t take long. Come see for yourself how quick and easy River will learn to accept love and return it two fold. River can be seen at Animal Aide, 333 Talbot St, St. Thomas, by calling 519-633-3788, or send us an email.

Don’t leave River to flow alone.
