Abner-Feb.2006
Skitz (now Boo) June 2006
Abner was afraid of his own shadow -now cautious and loving and Boo intoduced a whole new challenge as the two fought feriously for 3 months, and now lie together and wrestle playfully. So now we’ve emailed Lois in the hopes of finding a small adult dog – so who knows???
The initial challenges were well worth it for the family and our pets. Deb and family
A little over a week ago, I adopted “Errika”. Things are going wonderfully. My resident cat, Willie, wasn’t so accepting of her at first, he hissed a lot if he saw her and growled. I kept them separated for a few days to let them get used to each other, and then started to let her out. Right now they are “tolerating” each other, not really friends yet, but sometimes they play chase each other and sniff noses, etc. Izzy (as we renamed her) is a wonderful cat, with a sweet personality. She is very relaxed, but sometimes is still very kittenish, which is fun to watch! I was just wondering if you could tell me how she came to be at the shelter. I know I should have asked when I adopted her, but it slipped my mind in all my excitement!
Thank you again for this wonderful addition to our family!
Amy
Hi there,
I just wanted to send you a couple of pictures and add a little something to my happy ending about Errika. There is a picture of her and a picture of her and our other cat, Willie. She has settled in to our home really well. She has her favourite chair that she sleeps in all the time and her favourite toys. She really looks forward to the little bit of wet food she gets in the morning! She and our first cat, Willie, are getting along really well now, just like old friends. We are so lucky to have her. You guys at Animal Aid do great work, thank you for all you do!!
Sincerely, Amy

Megan had a birthday party and instead of gifts for her, she asked that everyone bring supplies for the animals at Animal Aide. There was cat food, dog food, toys and money. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Megan for her generousity and big heart. It is people like you that help keep our animals happy and healthy.
